Introduction

three, extremely odd looking people were walking down the streets of London, the one leading the direction in which way the three walked went by the name of Cap, he was a strange man, with a stranger personality, his clothing was custom, and fairly torn by what seemed on purpose.
The man to his right wore an old mask of a famous wrestler, with again a custom made suitt o match, this man went by the name of Kaiser...or Kai for short, Kaiser was the most, sane of the three, which is not saying much as he too was unstable in his mind.
The third was a woman, head to toe in black, with spots of red in different places, her name was Steph, although, not many people would ask her what her name was. The three were waiting for a fourth person as they had planned for months on end to hold a bank heist, the person they were waiting for however, was one they'd never met before, but had promsied to bring help for them.

Cap:Apparently this guy likes to call himself The Joker
Steph: The Joker...who does he think he is?
Kai: I would have thought his name would have told you that?
Steph: Don't get smart with me Kai.
Kai:..sorry...why does he call himself that anyway.
Cap:...He gets cheap thrills out of walking around in a purple suit and throwing Joker cards everywhere...there are some rumours about his face...how he's made it look like he's always smiling...real nutjob if you ask me
Kai: Coming from you...that's a shocker!
Cap:Yeah savour the moment you won't hear it much...right can we just do this and wait for Joker to arrive.

The others nodded as Cap and Steph placed on their masks, Kai just simply readjusted his and passed the others their designated weapons, the three then entered all guns blazing, making sure all of the civillians were on the ground.

Cap:..Alright people, we don't want anybody hrut, this is all goin to a great cause
Steph:..gee if you're gonna hold people hostage at least be honest, we're gonan keep the money and be filthy stinking rich ok folks...can we just open this safe.
Kai:..Can't...Joker's got the explosives.
Cap: I heard he's a specialist at that stuff
Steph: Great so we gotta wait here, keep these guys down on the ground and hope the alarm doesn't get sounded...just brill...

a gunshot was fired into the air as a bank staff member fell to the ground

Joker:...WE MADE IT!

in came the man in purple the three were talking about, unable to see his face as he was wearing a clown mask like the other men now following him and taking care of the safe

Joker: Sorry I'm late, it's just I had to pick up my suit from the dry cleaners HAHA!
Steph: I HOPE YOU'RE JOKING!
Joker:....Of course I am dear...I wouldn't live up to my name if I didn't...I can see you two boys here have a companion who can't watch their mouth
Steph: Just like you then
Joker:Oh she IS a fiesty one...then again I do have that effect on women HAHAHA!
Cap:Enough Jokes, just give us three our shares...and we'll let you do...whatever you do best.
Joker:See now that's a REALLY BAD JOKE!
Kai:...What do you mean?
Joker:Well, we're going to take all the money...well I am, thos eclowns who just entered the safe, yeah they're all going to die...but not after tieing you three...could three of you come and tie these...hostages up...who knows the girl may even like it HAHAHAHA!

Steph: YOU SON OF A...

Steph went to hit Joker but was stopped by one of his henchmen who then threw her away as Joker waved, lughing while he did it

Kai and Cap were tied up as well, as the rest of the clown henchmen made their way out, Joker reaching into his pocket and pulling out something that resembled a joy buzzer.

Joker:...shocking events arn't they heheHA!

Joker pushed the button as all of his henchmen fell shaking uncontrollably from electric shock, Joker lifted the bags on his two shoulders, then carried another two in his hand.

Cap:Why are you doing this?
Joekr:...Why...because I can...plus, between you and me, you guys really need to work on your...team some more, maybe get another girl for whoever one of you is single and for the one of you guys who is stuck with her...I'm sure you'll be enjoying her all tied up waiting for you HAHAHA...It's just a shame you can't touch her HAHAHA!!
Steph:None of them are with me thankyou very much!
Joker:...oh well then let me ask YOU something then since you must...put in your own little word into EVERYTHING....

The Joker raised his hand and took off his mask, showing his face to the three of them, covered in facepaint and scars. He went closer to Steph and shoved a Joker card into her mouth

Joker:...so beautiful...how about a kiss HAHAHAHAHA...how about a kiss HAHA...I kill myself!

Joker continued walking out of the bank laughing to himself at his little Joker as the three sat there tied to chairs, being unable to move as the police were surely moving in now

Part 1:Home Visit

Steph, Cap and Kai were now once again walking the streets of London after an extremely long conversation with the police. Mostly because of Steph talking back to the officer that was asking them questions.

Kai:If you didn't talk to him like that he would have let us go in minutes
Steph:And if YOU keep talking to me, one of us is going to be in pain, and here's the clue...it isn't going to be me
Cap:Would you to just stop arguing...we have bigger things to do
Steph:Too right we do, we've got to find The Joker and then we've got to slit his throat

Cap and Kai stopped and stared at Steph as she tried walking on, turning to them as if surprised to see their reaction

Steph:...what...you guys talk to me everyday...you should know me by now
Cap and Kai:...Yeah
Steph:I don't wanna spend another minute out here after today...I'll see you two tomorrow...if we live that long

Steph continued on her way to home, passing places that would make any person stop and stare at least once...but not her, she walked as she would every day, she unlocked her door as she would every day, and she entered...but this time...it would not be the same as any other day

Joker:KNOCK KNOCK!
Joker sprayed Steph with a gas before she could retaliate and immediately fell to the ground, she eventually woke up in a room, tied to a chair opposite Joker

Joker:...Well hello beautiful
Steph:YOU!
Joker: DING DING DING!
Steph:Why the HELL have you tied me up
Joker:I want to see how you will react...so far you are dissapointing me, I mean, a girl in black, a guy stuck in the eighties, and a man with a beard that makes him look thirty...and I thought MY jokes were bad
Steph:Your jokes ARE bad, you're a circus freak who deserves the worst he can get
Joker:Don't talk like your one of these normal people you're not...even if you'd like to be...to them you're just a freak, like me, Cap and Kai...they may want you now...oh and by the way just LOVING the little tiffs you're having with Kai
Steph:Oh you are so lucky I am tied up
Joker:Oh now why would that be my dear
Steph:DON'T CALL ME DEAR
Joker:Dear, dear, dear dear dear
Steph:If my hands wern't tied behind my back they'd be around your throat
Joker:Oh a little violence in this one, I like that...you remind me of my wife before I killed her
Steph:You sick freak
Joker:Look it's kind of obvious you are having that...special time of the month so I'll come back for you another time..here is my card...I'm sure you'll be ok how you are, I'll let myself out HAHAHAHAHAAAAA

Joker walked away leaving his card on the table, and leaving Steph tied to a chair as he had done in the bank, waiting to be saved

Part 2: Send In The Clown Girl

Cap: Steph hasn't been out all day, I wonder what could be wrong with her
Kai: She's probably been watching films for the past two days, you know what she's like when she gets a Johnny Depp film out...I swear that girl becomes a zombie, the druul and the eyes, urgh...please don't tell her I said that.

Cap and Kai walked up to Steph's door noticing it was a-jar, somebody had either left...or entered.

Cap:...you got a weapon?
Kai:No have you?
Cap:Nope...think we should go in there?
Kai:Steph might be in trouble
Cap:...The girl who tried to slit your throat when she first met you in that bar?
Kai: Dont mention that agin
Cap:Can't say I blame her for being violent for wher eyou were staring Kai, but trying to slit your throat...may have been extreme
Kai:...Just open the door

The two walke din slowly treading around as if in a spy movie, the ission impossible theme most likely playing in their heads. The two jumped round a corner and saw Steoh tied to a chair, her head down, her hand stuck round the chair and a Joker card on the table.

Kai:Steph I know you're into this stuff but two days?
Steph:SHUT UP and untie me...I haven't had food in two days...I haven't drank in two days...OH MY GOD I haven't seen Johnny Depp!

Cap:Then...why is your TV on
Steph:It isn't
Cap:Yes it is...it's on...I can hear it...heck I can even see the light coming from it
Steph:Cap it hasn't been on for two days TV's don't just come on by themselves.
Kai:He's right...your TV is on
Steph:Wait...you're telling me I have a cursed TV...and you STILL haven't untied me!!!
Cap:Ok ok keep your pants on
Kai: I hope she has...JESUS
Steph:Kai, there's a time and a place for a joke, so let me tell YOU one...when Cap unties me I'll turn the TV off...with your head!

Kai ran out of the room as Cap finally untied Steph, she turned to see that her Television wa sindeed on, Cap and Steph entred the room that the TV was suddenly lighting with its screen, slowly followed by Kai, the screen suddenly flashed to a green cricle surrounding a Joker face. Joker indeed was on it, with two people in chairs, one with a smile, and one with their head down, the one with a smile was obviously dead...how it could be told was an evil mystery, one nobody wanted to solve.

The Joker: HELLO LONDON!
as you can see...i've aquire dmyself two friends here, one unfortunately had to leave the party HAHAHAHA...but the other one...well she's still ticking, now why is she still ticking...because I want to give YOU a show...IT'S LATE NIGHT LONDON LIVE HAHAHA...and tonight we have a real treat...tonight i'm going to do to this girl the very same thing that made ME the person I am today...starting with the scars...so tell me sweetie, do ya wanna know how I got em

The girl shook her head repeatidly as Joker laughed, piercing the ears of Cap, Kai and Steph, like a high pitched sound that couldn't stop

Joker:Oh SURE ya do...see...I had a wife...she was beautiful, like you, and one night, she come shome with scars on her face...on her body...she can't look at herself...she doesn't want ME to look at her...so one day, I decide to take a razor...and I cut myself deep in my mouth...putting a SMILE on my face, I go to my wofe...I show her my scars, and ya know what...SHE CAN'T STAND THE SIGHT OF ME...she leaves, so then...I find the one truse saviour to hide my scarred face...face paint...I paint around my lips in red...and I think to myself it needs a little more...of a clown effect...and then I realised the upside to this,...now I'm always smiling...don't you want to smile as well

The girl again shaked her head, Joke repeated his piercing laugh, the girl cringing at it in Disgust

The Joker: Now ladies and Gentlmen the next part will be broadcasted to one...special home, so you will be getting little static for the next ten minutes...however, Steph, Kai, Cap...you sit back and enjoy the ride HAHAHAHAHA

the laughter of The Joker continued as a loud scream of the girl could be heard, blood dripping to the floor, Steph, Cap and Kai, both mesmorised and disgusted by what they were seeing.

Part 3: Mind Games

Days had passed since The Joker's TV threat, and Steph had it in her mind for each and every minute of the days that passed, The Joker had gotten into her head, and more then she could imagine. She would see the odd face with that sick scarred smile surrounded by red, she would see small strands of hair on people passing by change to green, all of this was in her head she knew that, anybody could and would tell her that even if she doubted it, but it was something about her strange state of mind which made it seem real, whether it was The Joker doing this to her, or herself, she didn't know, she didn't want to either.
Kai and Cap would go through the days trying to calm her and reasure her, and even protect her some days just incase Joker would sping from an alley and keep his word. They themselves would see something associated to The Joker, Kai, Cap and Steph would go the same routes every day, pass the same buildings, and the shops, but over the past few days, they saw things that only they could now associate with The Joker.
Clothes shops now had purple coats hanging up in their display windows, fancy dress shops had green dyes and make-up on special offers, all these things they would ignore, now they stuck out like a sore thumb.

Steph went the whole day getting different things on he rmind, she trie dmovies and they did not work, she tried music and it did not work, she looked at her poster sin her room, they covered her walls like a paper, she stared into the eyes of the one she admired most, Joey Jordison, normal people would look at him as either an insane man or just somebody from a band, but not Steph, the poster would always seem to comfort her other things could not, as if he was real, it was one of the things that could get her to sleep at night...and sleep she did

Images started to flah Steph by quickly, her mind and body speeding by from reality to dream, she could tell her dreams from reality, she usually had the same ones...and they usually became nightmares

She suddenly appeared in the backstage area of a concert a mask on her face and an orange boiler suit covering her, how she got there she didn't know and she didn't care, she simply looked at the door opposite her and a smile grew on her face as written on the door was "Joey Jordison"
She entere dthe room slowly heading towards the man sitting in his chair hoping it was the one she admired so much, she turned the chair around to indeed see the man she admired, but not how she wnated to see him, blood dripping from his mouth, his eyes surrounded with black, and bits of his hair sprayed green
Joker: Sweet dreams are made of this, who am I to disagree HAHAHAHAAAA!
Steph:W...what did you DO to him?
Joker: I gave him a new look...this way he wont have to keep buying new masks HAHAHA isn't that right Joey?

Joker grabbed Joey's head and shook it up and down insanely laughing to himself.

Steph:Listen here clown you get out of my head, get out of my dream...and you give me back Joey
Joker: You mean this Joey...Ok Joey stand up

Joey followed Jokers orders the blood running down to his neck from the knife work Joker most likely did to him.
Joker held his hand out signalling a handshake, Joey without hesitaiton as if under control grabbed it and began to twitch and shake unctorllably, being shocked, his skull starting to show

Joker: Oh we got a live one here HAHAHAHA

more and more Joey's body started to deterorate an awful smell of burning as Joker continued to laugh, Steph tried to look away the man she admired being killed before her eys, her dream became a nightmare and she could not wake up

Joker let go...the remains of Joey falling to the floor Steph having tears in her eyes, Joker simply placed his finge rover her mouth then wiped away a tear with his glove

Joker:Your little crush might be dead...but after i'e made you the person I am today...you'll forget all about him....oh and Steph...love the suit

Steph looked down, she was now wearing a purple suit, she looked up and a mirrior appeared her mouth scarred just like Jokers surrounded by red, her face as white as his and her eyes surrounde dby black, then her hair, dark green with slight hints of her old colour, she wanted to ge tout of this nightmare but could not, Joker had made her nightmare a reality

Part 4: The Final Game

Steph awoke from her seemignly, never ending slumber, hey eyes widened and filled with fear, her hair no longer green like in he rnightmares and the purple suit no longer existed. She rose up her torso reaching so far and then surprisingly snapping back and hitting the bed posts causing great pain in Steph's spine cuasing her to scream in agony.
Once recovered from the pain she looked around, she was in a room, painted all over the walls were smiles with black circles above them representing eyes, above an entrance way were the words "Why SO Serious?" and Joker cards were scattered across the floor.
The door in the room, the ONLY door in the room bashe dloudly as somebody on the other side knocked again, and again, and again
A radio in the room began to play "Vermillion" by Slipknot as The door swung open and Joker entered dancing with a manequinn in a wedding dress, he even started singing along to the song making his acts more sick then usual.

Joker:Say hello to the wife HAHAHAHA
Steph: YOU SICK SON OF A B**** HOW DID YOU GET ME HERE!
Joker:A little learning is a dangerous thing...especially in your predicament HAHAHA!
Steph:Why are you doing this to me?
Joker:...because you're different...you, enjoy things others do not, you...delight in suffering of others and I dare say, sometimes even yourself.
Steph:Then why do you want to kill me?
Joker:HAHAHAHA I don't wanna kill you...what would I do without you go back to robbing banks and ripping off people like your little group? no, no, no...YOU...COMPLETE...ME!
Steph:Then why in the HELL have you done this to me?
Joker:...because you need ME to complete YOU!
Steph:I don't need anything from you...I don't need anything form anybody
Joker:Oh you don't get a choice in this matter...you see these scars Steph?
Steph:...yes
Joker:Well let me tell you how I REALLY got them...one night I wake up...in a predicament like the one you're in...I've lost everything...my house...my posessions...my insanity was slipping too at that time and somebody enters a room...and comes at me with a knife...keeps telling me that I don't get the JOKE of life...so he sticks the blade in my mouth...like so...

Joker proceeded to stick a blade in Steph's mouth, Steph trying to resist but Joker pushing her against the bedpost so she once again gets a pain in her back.

Joker:...and he proceeds to cut into my mouth...and give me my scars...I thought I would hate my scars...I thought I would resent them...

Steph cringed as Joker casually continued tlaking while giving her the same scars as he had

Joker:Then he showed me in the mirror....and I LAUGHED...I saw the funny side...because now I'm always smiling...and now YOU ARE TOO!

Joker pulled out a mirror from his jacket and showed Steph her face, blood dirpping from her mouth a scarred smile on her face, she felt a feeling in her gut that no person should, could or would feel while being with Joker...a bubbling feeling..as if...laughter was coming...and indeed it did...laughter blasted out like Joker's laugh, she tried to cover her mouth with her hands, she hated her laugh, she didn't WANT to laugh...but she was...and she couldn't stop.

Joker:...game over HAHAHAHHAHAHAAAAAA!

Part 5:A Whole New Girl

Joker began dancing around with glee, stamping his feet in aticipation outside of the door he had entered only a few minutes ago, as if waiting for some big gift, to The Joker it WAS a gift, not just to him but to Steph. The door swung open as Steph revealed her new self, her long black hair was now a dark green, her eyes were now surrounded by a black circle and her new scars were painted over with red, surrounding it all was a white face, covering her now instead of her usual attire was now a purple suit, fitted for a female of course. Joker's jaw dropped, he just stared at her, a somewhat sick smile grew on Steph's face making her scars go further up on her face

Joker:Well this IS a gift HAHAHA, my very own female me HAHAHA!

Steph walked over to Joker and simply placed her finger over his mouth and walked away leaving Joker's jaw to drop once more

Joker:Oh this is going to KILL Cap and Kai
Steph:If I am THAT successful how do you intend to...celebrate

Joker stared again his draw unable to close as Steph smiled and continued to move, Joker followed keeping his facial expressions, now going to Steph's house to catach up wit Kai and Cap.

Kai and Cap being the friends they are ha dchecked up on Steph every day and with the last few incedents had been given keys to her home. They entered her home which was now left in a state, the TV broken, the wallpapers torn, smiles painted on objects and doors, blood on the floor, knives stuck in tables, it became obvious that Joker ruined Steph'shouse and took her away, Kai and Cap simply stared in shock as they continued to walk in

Kai:...my god...w...why did he do this|?
Cap:Because he's a sick son of a b****...I say we find him...and then we kill him
Kai:...He has Steph, we don't know what he could be doing with her
Cap:...or what he's done
Kai:What did she do to deserve this?

Joker:She was different

Kai and Cap turned to see Joker smug as ever keeping his usual stance moving closer into the house

Kai:Because she was different? WHAT KIND OF REASON IS THAT!?
Cap:You know...I think it's time we payed you back for everything you've done...with interest of course

Joker:I wouldn't do that if I was you

Cap:And why wouldn't I kill you right now?
Joker:Because...you'll make your little girlfriend VERY unhappy
Kai:...What did you do?
Joker:Me?...I just gave her a little push to insanity is all...you se eKai..it seems your little girlfriend has a NEW favourite colour...and she isn't your little girlfriend anymore HAHAHA...LET'S SEE WHAT'S BEHIND DOOR NUMBER 1!

Steph entered the door way causing Kai and Cap to freeze on the spot, Steph walke dup to them both and turned to The Joker and kissed him, Kai and Cap simply staring in disbelief, Joker eventually was released from the kiss as she stood her hands ove rhis shoulders, he simply swayed his head and looked at Kai and Cap

Joker:Look at her Kai...she can't get enough HAHAHA, well I can see we've left you in...quite a Steph...it's time to say bye bye Steph, say bye bye

Joker lead Steph to the door and began to walk away into the city, but before he could move on Steph grabbed on to the door and looked at her old friends with her new twisted eyes surrounded by black and she began to open her scarred mouth

Steph:We are dead...and this....is...HELL!

Part 6: The Secret Organisation
Joker was as happy as he could be laughing and jumping around, Steph simply grabbed him by his tie and pulled him towards her.

Steph:Do you always celebrate like this?
Joker:...yes
Steph:Well I celebrate...like this

Steph pulled Joker towards her and kissed him, Joke rnot being a romantic man tried to fight away at first, he didn't know what to do do with himself, he had experienced kisses before, but he had not had one since cuasing the scars on his mouth, he wasn't surprised that the scarred mouth and white make-up put women off...but Steph was now like him...maybe...a tad more advanced, but definately like him. Joker finally had air to breath as Steph pulled away, looking satisfied with herself, as she moved away forcing Joker to stare as she walked away

Joker:...If I knew she was going to be like this...I might've done it so much earlier HAHAHA!

Meanwhile

Kai:Did I just see...
Cap:...Yeah....you did...I did too
Kai:H...he changed her...to make her a part of his SICK little game!
Cap:We're going to need help
KaiWho are we going to get to help us
Cap:I don't know Kai...maybe we can go back...and save her...maybe there's still time
Kai:We CAN'T Cap...If I could go back and save her I would in a flash...but we can't...we just CAN'T!
Cap:...Then we'll need as much help as we can get...surely there is someone who is against the Joker as much as we are
Kai:...Search for the rest of the day today for anybody who could have information on things like that...just make sure you're carful who you talk to, things like that can get a person killed...

Kai and Cap took their seperate ways, searching the town from top to bottom for anybody who had ANY information...crime syndicates...police officers...security groups...normal civillains, nobody seemed to know anything. It became a wild goose chase, as if Joker planned it himself, laughing maniacally at the helm with his new...interest at his side
Day turned to night...and night turned to day, no signs of anybody who had any grudge against The Joker, some did not even know him. It became apparent that Kai, Cap and Steph...we're the only ones who were playing his game...or so it seemed.

Kai:Any luck?
Cap:None...you?
Kai:Same...we can't give in Cap...w ejust can't
Cap:Maybe we have to, we tried everyone and their mothers...nobody knows a damn thing!

Kai hit a wall in anger causing some mild pain in his hand, but he did not care about the pain, he was too oblivious to even notice it...as his phone started to ring from an unkown caller...he expected to pick it up and hear The Joker's laugh scremaing down his ear...or Steph and her new...darker tone.

Kai:...Hello?
: You want to know about The Joker?
Kai:...Who is this
: No matter who I am it's who YOU are...Kaiser right...Kai for short, enjoy wearing masks do you? I guess Halloween is every night for you
Kai:...What do you want
:I want to help, and it just so happens I know people who CAN
Kai:Who?
:That is classified...but I can tell you this...we are your first...last...and only chance of getting Steph back...so what do you say?

Cap:What's going on?
Kai:....We're in
Cap:We're in what
Kai hung up and dropped his phone into his pocket in a hurry exiting the house, Cap following in confusion
Cap:KAI...WHAT JUST HAPPENED!
Kai:...I think we found somebody who's as good as games as The Joker is

Part 7-Arkham

Sitting at his desk pencil in his hand, drawing out new plans for a machine was The Joker, busy as he could be today. Planning Machines to spread his message to the city of London. Suddenly sitting on his table was Steph, swinging her legs back and forth under the table, seemingly bored out of her mind.

Steph:Joker why do you have to sit here all day and create such BORING machines?
Joker:...what do you mean boring Steph? These are some of the best contraptions ever to be seen in the crime syndicate of London.
Steph;...Pfft please, they arn't exactly creative are they?
Joker: Creative? How are they not creative, when was the last time you saw a machine like mine.
Steph:...I just think you need to spice it up...like...MY idea.

She rolled out a piece of paper with a strange contraption drawn out on it, Joker looks at it from different angles and shrugs his shoulder,s no idea what the contraption is or what it does.

Joker:...What is it?
Steph: I call it The Rack...
Joker:...The Rack?...Ok what does it do?
Steph:It kills people
Joker:....I LIKE IT! I'll get to work on that soon, thankyou Steph...already learning from me HAHA!
Steph:Well I could teach you a few things too...
Joker:...What?
Steph: Well for a clown prince of crime you arn't much of a...prince are you?
Joker:..Oh, I'm sorry, did you expect a throne here, or a crown. I'm the clown prince of crime, because of what I do...I was killin people while you were picking your nose and eating it.
Steph:So you're really, really old?

In a dark grey cement jungle parking area, solitary if not for two cars, one contained Cap and Kai...the other a man in a brown trenchcoat, with brown gloves and showes. his face hidden from Kai and Cap.

Cap:Kai I don't like the looks of this, this is the part in the movies where the mystery guy flips out a gun and kills the annoying one....AND I'M THE ANNOYING ONE, AHHHH!!!!
Kai: Cap, calm down, this isn't like a movie...it's not even like one of those comic books you have.
Cap:...how DARE you insult the caliber of my high quality co...
???:Are you two finished?

Cap straightened himself out and looked to the mystery man awkwardly, hiding behind Kai slightly, Kai rolled his eyes at his somewhat overacting friend.

???:Do you want help against The Joker or not?
Kai:Yes, we want to know how to save our friend
???:Unfortunately your friend will always have traces of the insanity in her head, something Joker does always keeps a minor trace of him in the heads of those he victimises. She'll be back to normal, but the scars Joker gave her on her face will drive her to her own insanity eventually, we can only stop her from being this...female Joker.
Cap:...Well THAT sucks!
???:Indeed, look, this...Organisation, they've been associated with Joker for years...They call themselves Arkham
Kai:...Arkham?
???:The Asylum? You never heard of Arkham Asylum, the place is full of the weirdest whackos to fill any city, Joker being a very special case. About two years ago a woman was hired to analyse The Joker...she herself joined the Joker until he killed her by throwing her out of a window. Her name was Harleine Quinnsell
Kai:Oh my god!
Cap:...I know....There's an Asylum In London?
Kai:NO CAP! Joker killed this...Harline person...what if he does the same to Steph!...
Cap:....S**t!

Part 8: Space For A Smile

BANG! SMASH! CRASH! Objects were flyring round the room of The Joker as he was experimenting on a new machine, his head dodging and ducking as if knowing where the next piece of machinery would fly. His eyes focused on the part of the machine he was working on. Steph herself was working on a machine spereatly, The Rack she had designed was now in production. It seemed now all plans had halted in Joker's little warehouse, and now it was just creation. The only noise to emerge from the place was that of the experimenting.

Suddenly Joker had stopped his experimenting and jumped up in glee raising his purple gloved hands in the air in celebration, cheering as loud as he could

Joker: I did it, I finally did it! Ohh this one's going to get London for sure, Steph...STEPH! Guess what I've made!

At the doorway appeared Steph, oil on her suit, and a ratchet in her hand, some strangely designed goggles covering her eyes, she looked like some, mad scientist.

Steph:What is it this time? A giant metal hammer that can crush the zoo? A can of laughing gas that'll make all of London pee themselves?
Joker:Oh please, look just because I did that when I FIRST started out, doesn't mean I do it these days, we all have to start somewhere, you fortunately started out in the advanced stage already, I would have never come up with your invention in my early days.
Steph:I know...so what is it you wanted to show me anyway, I've got work to be doing
Joker:Well, with Kai and Cap on our tails, we're going to need something that can take out two at once, maybe even three or four, heck even hundreds at once if you put your mind to it Haha!
Steph:Well...what is it?
Joker:Ok ok, close your eyes...hold your breath...annnnnnd...HERE IT IS!

Joker revealed a strange metal box with flashing lights and a green meter that was kind of like those machines in hospitals that read your heartbeat.

Steph:...It's just a metal box
Joker:Oh no, no, no , it is not just a metal box, this Steph, is an earthquake creating machine, select what scale you want the earthquake, punch in the co-ordinates and an earthquake will occur and the readings will show how bad the damage is on this here meter.
Steph:...So?
Joker:So you create an earthquake with enough magnitude and it could send all of London tumbling down, now I don't know about you, but my priorities is a bit more then just Kai and Cap..I was thinking mor elike a takeover of this fine city.
Steph:...oh...annnd why would you want thaT? i THOUGHT THIS WAS JUST ABOUT kAI AND cAP
Joker:It was at first...but why try for such a minimal success. You don't understand because you haven't failed as much as I have, I've tried to do things my whole life and I've came up short. Why just last year I was blamed for a girl's death, they sayI threw her out of a window. I didn't do anything to the poor girl, but because she was associated with me...and quite obsessed with me I must say...they instantly thought I did it. Still that makes me all the more...happier in life?
Steph:Wow...really...sounds pretty sucky to me.
Joker:Well, yes it is, but that's the beauty of it, you can hit rock bottom in your life, and still ris eup. For example, you, you could go off on your own, and forget about dear old Mr.J, now would that hurt me...maybe, but does it mean i'll be sad for the rest of my life? Heck no! Steph, no matter how low life can get you, I feel...you can always find space for a smile, that explains my world in a nutshell really, no matter how sad I feel inside...I can always smile on the outside Haha! Anyway...you can get back to your little...Rack thing, I need to tune this baby up some more.
Steph:Ok...see you when it's lunch hours.
Joker:Oh I count on it

Part 9: The Arkham Tapes: Volume 1
Days had not been so good for Joker, he foresaw the leaving of his Apprentice Steph. She herself did not know that she wod soon leave him. But Joker could tell ad the past few days, he had been locked away in his room, drawing plans for machinery, thinking up plans to remove Kai and Cap from getting in his way. He would have used his eartquake simulator but there were still bugs to be kinked out. Cap an Kai were drawing ever nearer to him, his insanity had surpassed his previous levels, days would come bwhere he would re-open his facial scars, the blood dripping into his mouth sent hiino a frenzy of insane laughter. Steph would knock on his door, and be greeted by this bleeding madman in a purple suit, unknowing what was wrong with him and why his sanity was culminating as if it were, a countdown. A Countdown To Insanity.

Meanwhile Kai and Cap had aquired a package from Arkham Asylum, it was a series of video tapes from the first time The Joker was in Arkham.

Kai put the first video in not knowing what to see, what to expect all he knew is this would tell him something about Joker's past...which he and Cap needed to know.

Harline Quinnsell:Doctor Harline Quinnsell, now entering the cell of The Joker...don't know what we will see from him...

As The woman both Kai and Cap were watching, they noticed a difference in The Joker's looks, he did not look deformed. No scars, his smile however was still there, that evil...sadistic smile. Also Joker looked younger, almost like a teenager.

Harline: Hello Joker, my name is Harline Quinsell...you can call me Harley if you wish...
Joker:Hoohoo, Harley huh?...hmmm Harley Quinn...just like the...
Harline:...I know....just like the clown
Joker: So, why am I here doc? Lay it on me I can take it HAHA!
Harline:You've been instituted here on accounts of countless crimes, and I'm here to try and make you better.
Joker:Why would I want to be better Doc? Life is sooo much better for me now! And it could be better for the entire city if they could get a joke once in a while...tell me Harley...do you like Jokers?
Harline:...It depends what kind of Joker you're talking about
Joker:I mean my kind deary, is there any other?
Harline: Well you have killed people
Joker:Ah yes, but when you get the joke behind it, THEN you'll understand...I can make you understand if you like doctor...
Harline: ...I..I'm ending this session early, I will....schedule us in for another time
Joker:Ok doc!....don't be a stranger HAHAHAHA!

Static...the video had ended. It was somewhat creepy, the way Joker acted, the way he responded, they knew the Joker was similar now, but something had changed...maybe these tapes would answer the questions abot him...or maybe they would just raise more....

Meanwhile...

Steph:...Joker...
Joker:..Yes Sephanie?
Steph: I've finished constructing the Rack.
Joker:Excellent...you'll have to test it. Now we can't go bringing Kai and Cap to our little hideout just yet....we're going to need someone, someone who we can kill quickly enough to see if it works...but slowly enough to see them suffer..I know the pefect person HAHAHAHA!

Part 10: The Arkham Tapes Volume 2

Kaiser and Cap popped in another tape. Watching as they saw the younger Joker in his cell waving to the camera as Harline Quinnsell, A.K.A Harley Quinn, had entered the cell for another session.

Joker:Hey doc! Did you enjoy the flowers I gave you?
Harley:...They were from you? How did you get out of your cell?
Joker:Ah, ah, my little secret! I've known how to get out the whole time! I've just been waiting for the right moment, the right person, I think that person is you doc!
Harley:...R...really?
Joker:Really Doc! You and me? We could have a future together HAHA!
Harley:...I don't know, I could lose my job if we were to do that...
Joker:Hmm...good point. I KNOW! A costume! That way nobody will know it's you!
Harley:Oh, that's an excellnt Idea. I've always loved dressing up. Let's do it!
Joker:All in good time my dear, right now we're being watched, meet me outside Arkham, when the cameras won't be watching us!

Kaiser: So, he tricked her into meeting her. It was THAT easy for him?
Cap:...Well he was younger, maybe chicks digged crazy clown dudes back then.

Kai simpy looked at Cap with an emotionless face, telling him to be quiet. Someting didn't quite fit to Kai. How did Joker change? How did he get the scars, and how did his association with Harley lead to her falling on a car. It made no sense...

Meanwhile The Joker was hopping around like a rabbit, happy as could be that he was testing his apprentice's machine. Laughing like always causing even Steph to tell him to quit it a she wanted to see if she had perfected her torture device.

Joker:Apologies dear, it's just HEHE! I'm excited because of WHO we're testing it on HAHA!
Steph:Who? I can't see them
Joker:Oh they're already prepped up in the machine. Had to tape her mouth shut because she wouldn't quit screaming. She and your machne is just under this cover.
Steph:Well what are we waiting for? I wanna see this baby work!

Joker uncovered the machine to show a woa, in a skin tight costume,red and black with diaonds on the legs and clown face paint covering her face, her screams wer muffled due to the tape covering hermouth.

Steph:Wow, it looks beautiful but er...who's that?
Joker:Meet the woman who's already dead.
Steph:...Looks pretty alive to me.
Joker:Not according to the government she isn't...Harline Quinsell, died one year ago in their books, fell on a car didn't you Harley?
Harley:MMM...BFHMMM!
Joker:Oh my apologies, forgot to uncover that big mouth of yours HAHA....Better?
Harley:Ow...Why am I here? Why are you doing this to me Puddin'?
Steph:Puddin'?
Jokr:...Long Story
Steph:HAHA...PUDDIN'?! HAHAHA!!!
Joker:Ok, Ok, it's a funny nickname, she called me puddin'
Steph:Auu...Auugh...I'm sorry...i'm sorry....pffft HAHAHAHA!
Joker:QUIET!

Steph quickly wet silent trying to hold in her laughter, sniggering sightly as Joker continued talking to Harley.

Joker:Harley, why do you still call me that? You made it obvious, you wanted to...go it alone when you faked your death.
Harley:I'm sorry Mister J! But after you gave yourself those scars I....
Joker:You couldn't look at me! But now I see the funny side, Now I'm alway smiling...and before we kill you with my new apprentices machine...YOU'LL SMILE TOO HAHAHAHA!

Joker flipped out his knife and cut a smile into Harley's mouh identical to his, her screams were loud and agonising, effecting neither Joker or Steph, infact Steph was preparing to activate the machine, Paying no attention to the blood dripping on the ground.

Joker:There we go....that wasn't so bad was it...Steph would you like to do the honours?
Steph:Hell moshpitting yes!

Steph activated her machine as it slowy twisted Harley's arms and legs, breaking them one by one, round and round the body parts went as Joker simply laughed at the dying clown girl in the rack. Screams not effecting him. Finally the machine began twisting her head, brutally cracking her neck as she finally died, and the sound of Joker's laughter echoed through the building.
